Latest Update

Joana passed her 5.02 bike prac!
Congrats babe!
And tomoro....
It's my turn
*Eeeepppsss*

Weekend break... Not.

I've yet to post up the pictures for the previous entry. My laptop @ home lags, can't even post up entries. Trying to find out the problem, but can't seem to find the source.. so my last resort : School comp lab. Hehe. Quoting Nini, "We pay miscellaneous fees what. So must use school property to the fullest."

Aniwaes.. updates for the weekends? Slogging @ work from 9am to 7pm as usual. I'm still considering of changing my part-time job cuz I'm seriously being underpaid. Imagine $5.50/hr. And for 9 hours per day... that adds to about $49.50 only... times 2 days.. only $99! $99 for one whole week! Haha... how to pay for my bike prac ley? Plus hp bills, transportation fees & makan money... I'm going 'kayap' soon. Sooner than I think, I'd say.

I'm rethinking of getting a job.. mebe part-time only on weekends. Probably in retail so that can practise abit of my upselling skills (like I have one) hehe.. and with a rate of $10/hr. The only job in the hotel that offers that is the New Asia Bar bouncer! At this point, I wish I was a guy. So that I have a wider jobscope. I've thot of going into beauty retail... but I've no idea about beauty products at all. Haiz.... if got interview @ GUESS, I'll sure go for that. So can get discount!

Where else to get higher part-time jobs? Tuition lah! $15-$25/hr. Depending on wic level. Sec skool is much higher. That time when I was in JC, my parents forked out a $50/hr session tuition for my AO level maths with this 4th yr NUS student named Faizal. He teaches me pretty good, I'd say cuz from never passing maths, I got a B3 during A levels... which was quite surprising, considering the fact that I only had tuition with him one month before my A levels.

Ok ok.. back the weekends topic..

Right after work on Sat, I went to Equinox & took orders for donuts from Lyly, Farisha, Phillo, Kiran & Glory. The original plan was to buy 36 donuts and most of it consisting of our favourite Double Choc but I ended up buying only 24 pieces and with 3 flavours namely the Peanut Dark Choc, Orange White Choc & Hazelnut Choc coz they only had these left. That's what you get if you start queueing @ 8.30pm. And of all the 24 pieces, I only had 2 cuz Lyly ordered 12 pieces! Biar die makan byk2 nanti jady boncit like me. Hahaha...

So while separating the donuts @ Introbar, Haider the NAB exec suddenly approached me with an ond Chinese guy & we talked about Donuts. I didn't know who the hell he was... haha... but must be some rich guy lah. Talk & talk but never give Ang Pow hehe... :p Then after that, I went up to Equinox & passed the donuts to them & went straight home cuz I was damn tired man.

On Sunday, there were less calls & I was bored as usual. So I decided to surf the net & find colouring pages to pass the time. Had fun colouring Winx fairies with Judy. But after a while, it got pretty boring also. There were only 12 colours.. and I used wax crayons, so there wasn't really much texture that I can use to enhance the shading of the picture. Right after work, Yana & Yasmin called me up to meet @ Shaw Towers for dinner but I had other original plans actually... which is to go Lucky Plaza & buy my fav Lanvin miniature perfume. Then, I went to Tangs to check out the Island Shop there to see if they also got 90% off sales like in Raffles City, but the highest was only 50% off & the clothes were not really nice. Was looking @ Studio shoes, then I saw these pair of wedges with floral design & peep toes which I've been looking for, for so long. I bought it for only $29.90. This would add up to my collection of already many2 shoes @ home which I seldom wear. Mum always like to say that I'm like Amelda Markos cuz she also owns hundreds pairs of shoes. The difference is that she's rich, I'm not. And mum always insists that I give her some of my shoes cuz I've got so many which I seldom wear. And I'd say, "Takbley. Nanti kotor." Hehe.. Sorry mummy but your fancy shoes era has long ended. Its my turn now.

Gonna dance wif my shoes now.. Toodlesss~~~

After 2 days of not updating, here I am again currently @ work while attending to incoming reservation calls.

Continuing from thursday... I met Yana @ Al-Majlis again, had mixed sausages with fries for dinner and then waited again for the arrival of Yasmin to join us. We sat on the 2nd level in an air-conditioned room and where all the furnitures & fittings resembles the Middle Eastern style. The place is like a 2nd home coz the cushions are very comfy... I almost fell asleep on the cushions as I listened to Yana's fav song by Indonesian band Gigi playing in the background... I think I'm gonna convert my bedroom interior into something like that when I got the money hehe.. Well, aniwaes... that is but a reality. We left the place @ 8.30pm cuz all of us were pretty shagged.

Updates for yesterday... I woke up pretty early in the morning to the sound of PCD'S Buttons from my S.E. hp. Had bike prac evaluation @ 8am-9.40am. I failed.. haha after not going for prac for 7 months.. guess its not a surprise at all.. But when I told my BF.. he was like.."Wat? 28 points? So many??" Hehe... yeah I'm really a bad rider. Turn left, bike wobble. Turn right, bike wobble. Go up slope, bike engine stall. Haha... but hey gimme a break. It's been so long since I went for prac ok. My hopes are still lingering, so that's a good sign. But i gauge myself to be slightly below average, so I think I'll probably have to go for 2 or more evaluations before I'll pass and go through road training.

The best news for yesterday was that I passed my basic theory evaluation for my car license. So my basic theory test would be in 2 weeks' time... I can't wait! And I've completed all my final theory lessons, so left with Final Theory evaluation to go to also.

I made frens with this gerl, Joana, who also took bike prac wif me and failed also. Hehe. Turns out, she lives @ Bukit Gombak and studies @ NUS in 3rd yr as well. She's a fast learner though.. she just registered in January and she's already @ the same prac as me. 2 months only.. whereas me.. haha I seldom come for training.. and it took me about 7 months to be at prac 5.02.. and I'm still at it. Haiz... I still dunno when I can ride on my XR2 or mebe gilera. C how la... whether I got the budget or not in the months to come.

Besides Joana, I also met up wif a fren of mine, Saiful after not contacting each other for so long. He's still the same old Saiful.. but he's into bikes now, not gerls. And he's planning to buy a scrambler also like me. But he's more into WR. Actually I like WR but abit 'leceh' cuz always have to kick-start the bike but XR2 uses both E-start or kick-start and its abit shorter and comfier that WR. The seating is much more wider and can accomodate to my huge fat butt hehe ;p

After bike prac, I went home to bath cuz wanna go out and take my pay. I think I collected about $200++ but too bad lah can't spend it like I always do cuz hafta pay for my bike and car lessons... haiz... Joana suggested me to concentrate 1st on my bike prac, then if pass, then concentrate on car.. but I dunno la.. I prefer car to bike cuz it's safer. But I still prefer bike for the "thrill".

After pay collection, I thought of heading to National Library to do some research for my dissertation but it was raining outside.. so I decided to queue for donuts again. Bought some for Syah, delivered it to Equinox for her.. and then headed to Bkt Merah to meet my BF. He was quite busy... I pity him sometimes cuz he's always so pre-occupied with his job that he lacks rest time and also time for himself... what to do... he loves his job. At least I think he does, from the amount of effort and time he put into perfecting his work. We spend time with each other ti'll about 2am today. And he still had to go back to his office after that to complete his worker's schedule to be handed this morning.

Gonna njoy the donuts that Syah bought for me just now... *Yum yum*

Research In Progress

Im in skool now doing some research for my Contract Administration group assignment. Trying to read up and familiarize with all the procurement methods in construction while at the same time trying to answer the questions that John had assigned us. It's tough in Uni, especially trying to interprete the questions that have been assigned cuz most of the time, the questions are based on applications in real life, not only given or stated by the many books provided in the library. Therefore to piece up all the information together is not always an easy task cuz it involves alot of critical & innovative thinking as well as answering straight to the point, providing concrete justifications and recommendations.

In the library, I saw this tall and lanky guy who keeps stealing glances at me.. Hmm.. I wonder who he is. I can't even define his race by looking at his face cuz its a mix of Malay + Indon + Nepalese + Thai. When I came out of the library, I saw him with a group of Malay guys having a discussion, so... mebe he's Malay then. Well aniwaes.. it doesn't matter cuz he's not twice as cute as his fren is. Haha wif a goatee somemore! :p Ok ok. It's not everyday that Arin comes across a cute guy ryte? So spare me, again.

So now I'm in the computer lab trying to do research for another module of mine. Genes. It sounds like a simple 5-letter word, but really its the opposite of everything simple. I'm supposed to complete a 2-page (only) essay on the Controversies regarding the Legal & Ethical Issues surrounding testing & genetic counselling, which is due on 23 March. Still far away... but I KIASU-mah... wanna do research 1st k.. but writing the essay will take a longer time.. although its only 2 pages.

I'm gonna leave u guys wif the Double Helix....

Taken from: http://www.bio.miami.edu/dana/250/doublehelix.jpg
An hour of reserching later....
Urrmm.. on another note, I think I'm gonna do the 1st question Which is Justifying why this century is termed as "The Biotech Century" and what are some of the likely major breaktroughs and how important would their impact be... The research is much more easier and there are many articles to quote examples. Yay!
Be back later! I cancelled plans wif my BF today.. gonna meet Yana @ Al-Majlis hehe :p

Out Wif My Best Buddies!

Im Back again!!

Had a great time meeting up wif my GFs Yana & Yasmin just now sharing our most intimate problems together..
Started off wif meeting Yana @ Clementi @ 5pm after my attachment balloting session in skool.. then we headed to Raffles City Shopping Centre & bought my fav donuts @ the Donut Factory Shop! Almost an hour of queueing & finally I bought a dozen donuts, 6 for me and 2 each for Yana, Yasmin & Syah. The best recommended donut would always be the Double Chocolate.. and if you ever drop by to buy donuts, one piece of advise :Eat it while its hot. Every bite feels like a taste from Heaven.. *yum yum* To add on.... every bite oozes wif smooth chocolate filling... right ti'll the last bite. Heh.

So aniwaes, me & Yana had dinner at BK, and then joined by Syah who dropped by to fetch her 2 donuts that I've bought for her. She bought another baju from Island Shop & it costs only 9 bux!

Right after our dinner, me & Yana headed to Al-Majlis where she worked to return the nets card. Saw Prabeen, Yasmin's nepalese BF & Faris, Yana's "ex-sort of-BF". Both were quite cute guys.

~This is Preet. He's nepalese. Hehe.~

~And this is Prabeen, Yasmin's BF... also Nepalese~

From Bugis, we met Yasmin @ her workplace @ SATA Jurong East. Watched the last mins of The Dance Floor for awhile & then headed to LJS for another makan session. It was already 9pluz by then and all of us were damn tired already. Yas as usual hasn't completed her 3000-word essay. So before we departed, we had fun cam-whoring all we can. *sNAP*SnaP* Here they are...

~Me & Yas~

~Yana & Me.. Hehe..~

~All of us together~

~Da "HOT" gerls.. muahahah~

Ti'll many2 meet ups besties! Love ya!

Attachment @ One North

Had the attachment balloting session in with all my coursemates jus now. And guess what... my name was called 2nd last and all the slots that I wanted were already taken up. BCA, KPK, EM services, CPG consultants... haiz.. But luckily the one at Dept of Building have one slot left. So now during my attachment period, I would do something with green vertical elements and climatic mapping at One North, which is just a few MRT stops away from my house. Thank God I didn't get those in the East area or someting...
Gonna meet Yana @ Clementi now. Dada~

"Mamak-land & Beyond"

I'm back!!

Little India was pretty crowded yesterday! I already felt like I was walking in India or Bangladesh or "Mamak-land" or something. To my right - Indians. To my left - Bangladeshis. At da front - Singaporean Mamaks. At the back - Shah Rukh Han wanabes. By the time reached Mustafa, I swear I've become a mamak as well.. what wif walking around the shops and being blown with Minyak Sapi all around me.

Aniwaes, we went to Mustafa and looked into da windows, feeling like a kid looking at candies. Every single thing could be found there. Being my 1st time, I felt pretty dizzy walking along the aisles with floor-to-ceiling shelfs all crammed up wif shampoos, perfumes, calculators... everything.

For awhile at the perfumes section, I tot I was in a flower shop. There were so many favourite brands... Escada, Anna Sui, Gucci, Ferragamo, Versace, Hugo Boss... u name it. And you can even try on any perfume without anyone approaching & irritating you with their usual "May I help you?" everytime u wanted to spray on their perfumes just like those SASA shops does.

After what seemed like an hour of pushing and squeezing through the aisles, I only settled wif 2 bottles of nail polish. Syah bought a toothbrush and Herbal Essences shampoo. But we were pretty happy to get away from the crowd a.s.a.p cuz I swear I almost wanted to faint if I smelled those minyak sapis again.

Arriving at a South Indian roadside stall, we ordered roti naans with Kimah & Mutton Curry. It was oh-so-deliiiiciiouuuss & satisfying. We even had a handsome (according to Syah. heh. ;p) young man to take and bring our orders. All the tiredness have given way to satisfied and happy stomachs. If our stomachs were located outside our bodies, I swear they'll dance and even do cartwheels on the table. Hehe ;p

So after our "Happy Meal", we headed back to... Farrer Park station this time round cuz Little India station was way too far for our liking. Opposite on the MRT on our way home, we spotted this really tall but botak hansome guy sitting opposite of us. If his body was alot bigger, he would look like Rae, the NAB bouncer. His eyes were like lasers, they're very penetrating. I almost felt myself burning up when he glanced at me. *grinz* Hey.. I dun c handsome guys everyday. Spare me.

Ok enuf bout that Little India trip & manly mans.

Today I was supposed to meet up wif my lovely GFs Nasha, Nooreen & Eqa but they couldn't make it. Called up Yas for a trip to JB but she was also pretty occupied with her 3000-word essay on Public Speaking dued tomoro. We talked about Prabeen, the Nepalese guy she's currently dating. Apparently, his character was not up to her expectation. According to Yas, he was irresponsible & chilidish... often skipping work to meet her when she also had a class to attend. She was kinda frustrated with him. Aniwaes, what she said really opened up my eyes. All this while I've always questioned my BF about his working hours and being scolded by him whenever I asked him to skip work or take leave on certain days to go out. Either he's a responsible guy or he's just a plain workaholic eyy.. Imagine if I stay with him in the future, I'll sleep on the bed alone every night. Haha.. Poor Arin.

So the original plans were all cancelled... then my mum suddenly & surprisingly suggested that we visit my Aunt @ Bedok cuz she just came back from Hajj last month. She has grown a LOT fatter in a yr! Must be those medication pills that she took. I really pitied her condition... what wif her husband not beside her anymore in her sickness cuz he's busy entertaining some woman in Batam.

As usual, my parents would entertain her. And me... well left to entertain my niece of course! This is the 1st time that I'm seeing her cuz most of the time she would live wif her dad in Indonesia. She's such a lively, bubbly and really talkative young girl. Its amazing how she speaks to me in English everytime. Very fluent & intelligent. So here's what we did...

~I drew a princess from "Puss in Boots" book & coloured it for her~

~Thats my aunt's black bunny. She's a total beauty... & very tame & cuddly~

Watsup on CNY

Had a pleasant surprise for my former Equinox colleagues yesterday when I dropped by the restaurant to lose my boredom coz all the Raffles City shops were closed.

My fav peeps Kiran, Sanggari, Farisha & Phillo were working.. So I kidnapped Kiran & snapped some pics wif her...

~Couldn't capture the beautiful view behind cuz it was tooo bright~

~The cafe cartel buddy, Kiran~

~And of course.... yours Truly~

And... in the evening me, Syah & Farisha went to watch the fireworks @ One Fullerton. View was fantastic cuz we had the front row seats w/o the need to squeeze in between smelly sweating bodies.

~This was at Fullerton hotel~

~Inside the Fullerton bathroom which was oh-so-gooorrgeousss~

We shopped around for food @ the CNY festival & bought Mochisss for 5 bux 10 pieces. The pathway was really muddy & the crowd almost drowned us. And the smell of pork hotdogs almost made me wanna throw up my LJS meal..

Finally after what seemed like an hour of walking, we went to 7-eleven to buy a bottle of Evian. My mum has this habit of requesting me to run wierd errands... like that bottle of Evian (which for us would just only mean plain water). She wanted me to search for mineral water that contains 7.4mg of minerals. Or the bottle with the cactus bottle sleeves. So wierd.

Aniwaes, I had great fun with the gerls... Had great laughs during our B*tching sessions on the MRT. All the stoink-faced people & minah tudung who talked on the hp wif millions of expressions. It would not be surprising if she morphed into a pig the next moment. Heh. ;p

Oh yeaps... going to Mustafa Centre. Update Later ;0)

CNY Eve Chillin' Out

Sat, went to One Fullerton & lepak @ Starbucks wif Syah, Ayu & Maya. Initially we wanted to go Liat Towers but then it was too far away hehe... have to take MRT lah... so we walked down to One Fullerton.
We ordered Caramel + Mocha Fraps, Chocolate cake & for me.... a warmed up Tuna Ciabatta *yum yum* :p
Then we sat ti'll about 10+++ & talked about everything under the moon plus juicy gossips & scoops...
So here are the pixies...

The BF question..

Everyone has been asking me... how come is my BF so old? His looks qualifies him to be my elder brother, and he looks like a married man. Why do I pick him when there's like many others who would want to be with me? What do I see in him that I dun c in other guys?

Ahhh... such common questions that I come across each and every time.

So.... how was I attracted to him then? Simple. He was physically attractive when I 1st met him about a year ago at Peninsula. And he had that bold yet shy exterior that makes me smile everytime he looks at me. The fact that he could bring me to ecstacy without even touching me, was something that I've not experienced before.

Now.. what about the looks? Well, let me tell you a SECRET. Heh. I like guys who look matured. I look much younger than my age. So, that deep contrast between me and him is what makes the attraction lingers on...

About the elder brother thingy... in reality, yes, he IS my elder brother... but he's my long distance cousin from my father's mother's side. Surprised? Well, I was at first, cuz I've never met him during my Hari Raya rounds before... I've never even visited his parents or went to his house before. And yet after the shocking news subsided, I still stay on with him although my parents (esp my Dad) disapprove of my relationship with him just becuz we're cuzens.

So... aside from the physical attraction, what else makes me stay on with him?

1) He's like an elder brother-cum-bf-cum-bestfren, so whenever I have any problems, he would try to solve it by advising me. Although sometimes his advises hits me quite harshly, but whatever he says often points to reality.

2) He doesn't prevent me from going anywhere I like (aside from Clubs and Joints). And with whomever (with girls of course) I want to. If I have already made plans with my GFs on that day that he's free, he wouldn't force me to dump my GFs and go out with him. Yes, he's protective of me, but not to an extent where we would fight and quarrel like there's no tomorrow.

3) He's a very affectionate person. And he's like me.. we don't really like to show our affection to each other in public. We prefer to do it in private. Heh. :p

Well... not all things about him is positive eyyy?...
He's a very hot-tempered person. He gets angry easily at minor stuffs, but the good thing is that after I've calmed him down, he would cool down very quickly. So as fast as his temper rises, he cools down as fast.

Aside from that, we seldom get to spend time with each other due to our own busy schedules. I'm still studying in Uni, in my 3rd yr now. And he's working as an Operation Exec @ Ban Hock Hin, a motor leasing company. If there's time, we would meet but our meetings would not always be planned. If he's free, he would call me up and vice versa. But... that suits me fine cuz I wouldn't want my BF sticking up my ASS each and every day.

He's so OLD... aren't you worried that he might want to get married earlier?
Well... the question of marriage has not played in our minds yet. BUT, if we were still be together and IF and only IF we're fated to be together, marriage will come, Insyallah. So at the moment, we're very happy to have things the way it is.

Stay tuned for further updates.... Muaks. :x

First & Foremost...

Now, now… where shall I start?

Been wondering what catch-lines I would wanna put in my blog but I gave up on that after thinking for a minute. No use. I’ll just write impromptu again. Cuz everything I say is always spontaneous. And spontaneous doesn’t always mean intelligent. Let’s just be generous and equate my IQ to like… abit above average. Heh.
Aniwaes, there’s just so many things I wanna write about.

1) Dissertation.

This topic truly sucks. Coz Suriani (the administrator) e-mailed me to change my final year project topic to something else… and to liaise with my new supervisor, whom I shall name Mr 3B cuz he’s balding, big (I mean head : p) and babbles too much during lecture. So… I was thinking… I think and think and think…AND think… and I think I wanna do something on energy efficiency: THE GREEN MARK SCHEME. Something mebe on the management aspect perhaps…but at the present moment as usual, my brain has not logged into the complex system of building management yet. So I’ll give it a thought again sometime after I get to meet up wif Mr 3B. Which will be next wk. Hopefully I’ll get something out of his BIG head.

2) 7% GST

What?! GST increase again?? And no progress package….?? Year of the Pig really gives me the grunts. I think the people who implemented this ate too much Bak Kwa. That’s y the brain become so crispy and oily. And then, only give money to age 35 and above. What about the less fortunate people like me??? If you give $4m to those 418,000 workers, then they’ll become richer than me! Some of them may not even need the money! Cuz some of them won’t know what to do with the extra money… so they go and play 4D-lah. What else. Bet and bet until lose all the money. Then apply for financial help from CDDC. If you give people like me the money, we know how to spend it wisely – brand new clothes lah, eat at expensive restaurants, watch movie-marathon, go JB top-up fuel, go reunion dinner with friends every weekend etc. And at the end of the day…. We still contribute to National Expenditure! Why Oh Why… someone, please make these people understand the money-deprived young generation like me…
